Not much to say about this sequel to 2000’s Meet the Parents. Ben Stiller returns as Gaylord (Greg) Focker. In Meet the Parents we met Pam’s parents: ex-CIA agent Robert DeNiro and elegant Blythe Danner. In this sequel it is time to meet Ben’s parents. Cue: Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. Yes they are quirky and more than a little zany. The movie is funny but really, have you heard of the expression Flogging a dead horse. The same old jokes are pulled out and, if anything, seem coarser and more vulgar. At the end of the movie I felt rather ambivalent. Passably entertaining but not the best comedy by any stretch of the imagination.
